A lot of people have been asking where to get resources to use for extra practice with their kids. I decided to put together a series of videos to show you exactly where to find great resources for Science, English, and Math.
This week we start with Science. In this video I highlight three different sites:
Crash Course Kids
This youtube site has over 100 science videos. They are based on 5th grade science, but I have found the videos useful for 3rd to 6th grade. The videos are fun and informative.
ReadWorks is possibly my all time favorite website. If you are an English teacher and you aren't taking advantage of this incredible site... well... you should be using this site. It has everything. Including articles on SCIENCE! You can even search by topics, including science.
Another fantastic site for reading comprehension. They also cover many other skills, but I find the reading comprehension to be the most useful. There are many articles about science on this site. It is a great way for a student to go beyond what they are learning in school.
